Stuart Feldman's Success Story
by: Pablo del Real
About five years ago, Stuart Feldman, somewhat ahead of the pack, decided
it was time to join the Internet economy and move his telecommunications
business online. Of course, he didn’t make a wholesale, drastic move. Instead,
he made the transition gradually, maintaining his offline business while
starting and growing its online counterpart. Selling telecommunications
products and offering consulting services to the small office/home office
market (SOHO), Stuart knew that his products and services were viable on
the Web.
Now Stuart also sells his consulting services for Internet businesses,
telecommunications and Voice Over Internet Protocol. As he describes it,
his site at http://www.totalnetplus.com
offers “all of the latest and greatest products available on the Internet,
including web sites with no hosting fees and unlimited usage cell phone
service plans.” But doing business online hasn’t been always been easy.
So far, Stuart names getting exposure and keeping up with ever changing
technology and marketing techniques as his biggest challenges. “The key
to doing business on the Internet is establishing and maintaining good
relationships, both online and offline,” claims Stuart. “Also,” he adds,
“the small business owner has to be diligent, especially if you work out
of your house: you have to be very focused.” He also says believes that
entrepreneurs need expert help.
A member since 1999, 4smallbusiness.com has helped Stuart maintain his
focus. “I’m so impressed by their personalized service. Actually, I the
company worked so closely with me and got to know me so well that I ended
up doing some consulting with them.” Among the many services and features
offered by 4smallbusiness.com, Stuart mentions the Free Download and all
of the Products & Tools available in the Interactive Business Centers
(IBC’s) as the most helpful. “These resources have given me much greater
access to my potential marketplace—and they’ve also taught me how to better
manage my Internet resources and my time online.”
Stuart goes on to say that: “The IBC’s are great because that’s where
you can learn to do most anything on the Web yourself. Also, Ask Cathy
and the live advice have given me tremendous assistance and great ideas.
Their personal touch has made me completely dependent on the site.” As
for those who are considering joining, Stuart offers this advice: “Take
some time to really analyze what 4smallbusiness has to offer. Get a Guest
Pass and dig in to their site. It will be worth your while.”
